Journal #10: Bird Painting

I'm not sure who the painting below was created by, but I really do like the style. The artwork is very realistic, not that art has to be realistic to be good, because it doesn't, but it works well in this type (meaning here the way the brush created the form of the hummingbird). The color palette is nice as well, and I enjoy how the artist accompanied the bird with little dots of color around it so the rest of the canvas doesn't look blank; so the bird doesn't look lonely. I'm sure I couldn't do anything like this with my current abilities, not anything remotely similar to this. I still very much like the art, though.
